What is REGENEXTM?
REGENEXTM is a breakthrough in anti-ageing innovation from the Modern Molecules laboratory in Seoul, Korea. It uses a medical technology that was once used to treat burn wounds by utilising its powerful regenerative properties. Harnessing this innovation and applying it to aesthetics, the team discovered that its regenerative properties can also be seen on aged skin cell. It can trigger cell regeneration from deep within the skin, reducing the look of wrinkles and pigmentation while improving the appearance of overall skin texture.
What are the key ingredients in REGENEXTM?
REGENEXTM is a functional anti-ageing complex made up of 3 key actives: Exosomes, Spicules and Peptides.
Exosomes are small cellular structures with powerful regenerative properties to help heal wounds, boost collagen and renew the skin.
Spicules are tiny needles from sea sponges that make small channels in the skin, helping it to absorb products better and regenerate. They are nature's answer to microneedling.
Peptides are amino acids that help increase the production of natural collagen and elastin, improving skin elasticity and reducing wrinkles.
What is the philosophy behind developing REGENEXTM?
Modern Molecules and REGENEXTM were created on 3 core principles:
What are Dermapro’s REGENEXTM clinical trials?
We have conducted 3 different clinical studies to ensure a complete dermatological evaluation. These supplement the 2 other independent trials conducted on the technology.
For studies 2 and 3 we compared the results of the REGENEX Renewal Serum against Retinol in a trial that spanned over 8 weeks.
Why is REGENEXTM being compared to Retinol in the clinical trials?
It’s long been recognised that Retinoids are the most effective anti-ageing ingredient. They have been a staple in the skincare industry for decades. The REGENEXTM complex was developed to challenge this old active ingredient, using all the advancements in cell regenerative technology to deliver superior anti-ageing performance. In order to truly claim that REGENEXTM has more significant benefits than Retinol, we had to clinically put both ingredients to the test.
What are the results of Clinical Skin Irritation Test?
Before beginning clinical trials on wrinkles and pigmentation, it is essential to dermatologically assess the formula's potential to cause skin irritation in humans.
We tested the formula on 33 female subjects and monitored the test sites for any adverse skin reactions during the study.
The results from May to June showed that the formula did not cause irritability, stinging or any adverse reactions on the skin. Therefore, the formula is dermatologically tested to be safe for skin application before we proceed with the next 2 clinical tests.
What are the results of Clinical Study on Anti-Ageing and Pigmentation?
In these 2 clinical trials, our objective was to compare the efficacies of Modern Molecules REGENEXTM Renewal Serum vs. Retinol for reducing appearance of wrinkles and pigmentation. These clinical trials were carried out and analysed at baseline, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment.
We had 21 test panelists aged 49-60 years old with varying early signs of facial ageing. The clinical trials were carried out from the beginning of June to end of August 2024. via a double-blind, randomised and placebo-controlled study. 1:1 ratio of participants received Modern Molecules REGENEXTM Renewal Serum on one half (right/left) of their face, and a Base Cream with Retinol on the other half (left/right) of their face. We analysed the wrinkles at the following facial sites: Glabellar (between the eyebrows), Nasolabial Folds (sides of your nose to the corners of your mouth), Upper Lips, Periorbital (around eyes) and Forehead.
Within 2 weeks, we saw noticeable anti-ageing results across the 5 facial testing sites with reduction of wrinkle size, depth and width. Within 2 weeks, we also saw significantly stronger results from REGENEXTM for anti-pigmentation when compared to Retinol.
These are some of the most significant results we saw from the studies:
After 8 weeks, we can conclude that REGENEXTM Renewal Serum showed statistically significant superior efficacy to Retinol for reduction of appearance of wrinkles and age spots with a good safety profile.
What skincare tips do you have for first time users?
It is normal to feel a light prickly sensation when you apply REGENEXTM due to the Spicules liquid microneedle working on your skin. REGENEXTM has been dermatologically tested to be safe but for new users with sensitive skin, I’d recommend you to do a patch test before applying the product to your entire face.
This is a true breakthrough and a new generation for anti-ageing technology and skincare and I hope you are as pleased with you results as we were with the science.
REGENEXTM is the first modern molecule for advanced anti-ageing that combines revolutionary Exosomes, Spicules and Peptides.
